Expressing the future in Spanish: There are 3 ways to express the future in Spanish: Use the present tense Asisto al partido de básquetbol el viernes. I’m attending the basketball game on Friday. Use ir + a + infinitive Voy a tener una prueba el veinticinco de marzo. I’m going to have an quiz on the 25th of March. Use the future tense Yo viajaré a Australia en el futuro. I will travel to Australia in the future.
El futuro: The Future is what will or shall happen. In English this is made up of 2 verbs (auxiliary verb will or shall + main verb), but in Spanish it is a simple tense made up of one word.
