Indicaciones y Dónde Está

The Dónde Está Method We have currently learned two methods for speaking in Spanish. 1. The Magic Circle 2. The 1-3 Method Today we are going to add our third, “The Dónde está” method.

Ex: Where are you going to eat today? The Dónde Está Method The word “¿Dónde?” means “Where?” We can use this word with the Magic Circle just like all of our other question words. Ex: Where are you going to eat today? ¿Dónde vas a comer hoy? Or, we can use it in the “Dónde está” method. The word “está” means “is.” It can also mean he is, she is, it is, and even you are (formal). In question format though, “está” becomes is he?, is she?, is it?, or are you (formal)?

The Dónde Está Method What does “¿Dónde está?” mean? Where is…..? Let´s see an example -¿Dónde está el baño? -Where is the bathroom? -El baño está a la derecha. -The bathroom is to the right.
