To compare qualities of people or things that are the same or equal: Use this formula: Tan + adjective or adverb + como Ex. Mi papá es tan alto como su hermano. (My dad is as tall as his brother.)

To compare quantities that are the same or equal… Tanto/ tantos + noun + como Tanta/tantas + noun + como Ex. Maria tiene tantos mariscos como Juan. (Maria has as many shellfish as Juan.) Ex. Maria tiene tantas bebidas como yo. (Maria has as many drinks as me.)
