Los Pronombres de Complemento Directo e Indirecto
Transcripción de la presentación:

Los Pronombres de Complemento Directo e Indirecto

Los Pronombres Directos Personas o Cosas Por Ejemplo: Paco la quiere. (la = la galleta) Marta lo ve. (lo = Juan)

Los Pronombres Directos me (“me”) te (“you”) lo (“him”, “it”(masc.)) la (“her”, “it” (fem.)) nos (“us”) los (“them” (masc. people or things)) las (“them” (females or fem. things))

Los Pronombres Indirectos SOLAMENTE Personas o Animales “To whom or for whom an action is being done” Por Ejemplo: Le doy el regalo. (le = a mi madre) Señorita Chávez nos habla. (nos = a nosotros) Santiago le escribe una carta. (le = a Susana)

Los Pronombres Indirectos me (“to/for me”) te (“to/for you”) le (“to/for him/her/you (formal)”) nos (“to/for us”) les (“to/for them/you” (plural))

COSAS PARA RECORDAR The verb “escuchar” takes a direct object Lo escuché (“I listened to him”) Generally, the indirect object is clarified in the sentence. Le doy el regalo a mi madre. Le hablé a ella. Indirect Objects are often used when the direct object is a part of the body or a personal possession. El dentista le sacó la muela. (The dentist pulled his/her/your tooth.) El botones nos trae el equipaje. (The bellboy is carrying our luggage.)

The neuter direct object pronoun “lo” often replaces a phrase or sentence (rather than a single noun) ¿Dónde está la profesora? No lo sé.

Posición The pronouns usually come before the verb The pronouns are attached to commands (most often stress is on the third vowel from end) When an infinitive or the present progressive is used the pronoun can come before the verb OR attached to the verb

El Imperativo o Los Mandatos Affirmative Tú Commands – él, ella, Ud. form of verb Por ejemplo: hablar -> habla Negative Tú Commands – opposite tú form of verb Por ejemplo: hablar -> No hables Affirmative Ud. Commands – 1.yo form of verb 2. drop “o” 3. add opposite él, ella, Ud. ending Por ejemplo: hablar -> hable Affirmative Uds. Commands – 1. yo form of verb 2. drop “o” 3. add opposite ellos, ellas, Uds. ending Por ejemplo: hablar -> hablen For Negative Ud. and Uds. commands simply place a “no” before the affirmative formation

Los Pronombres y Los Mandatos Negativos With negative commands, the pronoun is UNATTACHED and placed IN FRONT of the verb ¡No me escribas! (Don’t write to me! - familiar) ¡No nos digan (Don’t tell us! – plural)

La Posición de Dos Pronombres “Indirect before Direct, Reflexive first of all” ¿Me enviaste las cartas? - Si te las envié ¿Vas a mandarme el regalo? – Si voy a mandártelo ¿Te lavas las manos? – Si me las lavo. “Se” replaces “le” of “les” before the direct object pronouns “lo” “la” “los” “las” - ¿Les mandas el telegrama a tus primos? – No, no se lo mandé (se = les)

When a verb is followed by two object pronouns , an accent mark is required on the stressed syllable: Infinitive – stress on last syllable of the infinitive Present Participle – stress on next to last syllable of the present participle
