“as _____ as…” Use tan + adjective + como to compare people and things. The adjective you use must agree in gender and number with the person or thing you compare.

Ejemplos Esta estatua es tan bonita como la otra. = Estos dibujos son tan antiguos como los que vimos ayer. Esta torre no es tan alta como la de Morelia. ≠

Avoiding repetition In the second part of your comparison, you can use an article + adjective unit or a pronoun to avoid repetition. Las películas de acción no son tan divertidas como las cómicas. Este retrato es tan antiguo como aquél. Other pronouns: aquello, aquella, aquellos aquellas.

Superlativos el/la/los/las + más/menos + adjective + de to mean the most or the least. La torre Eiffel es la más alta de todas las que he visto. The Eiffel tower is the tallest of all the ones I’ve seen.

Otro ejemplo: Los dibujos en este museo son los menos creativos del mundo. The drawings in this museum are the least creative in the world.

Otro tipo de superlativo Adding -ísimo/a/os/as to the end of the adjective forms a superlative that intensifies the meaning of the adjective.  La exposición de arte contemporáneo es buenísima. The contemporary art exhibition is great (very good).

Y el ejemplo final Los bloques de piedra de este edificio son grandísimos. The stone blocks in this building are huge (very big).
