BUSCAR, QUERER, NECESITAR To talk about something that is not known for certain… INDICITAVE + Change of SUBJECT + QUE + SUBJUNCTIVE I want a laptop computer that does not cost much. Yo quiero una computadora portáil que no cueste mucho. You are looking for a telephone that plays music. Tú estás buscando un teléfono que toque música.

¿Hay … que …? ¿Conoces … que …? ¿Tienes … que …? ¿Hay personas que sepan más que yo? ¿Conoces una persona que pueda hablar español? ¿Tienes una computadora que toque videos? The subjunctive is used with expressions that ask about something that may not exist.

No hay … que … No conozco … que … No tengo … que … No hay una persona que sepa más que yo. No conozco a una persona que hable español. No tengo una computadora que toque videos. The subjunctive is used when these expressions are used to say something may not or definitely does not exist.

If something definitely exists, we use the indicative. Hay muchas personas que saben más que yo. Yo conozco una persona que habla español. Yo tengo una computadora que toca videos.
