2 To ask someone’s age and birthday/ Responses ¿Cuántos años tienes?- How old are you? Tengo quince años.- I’m 15 years old. ¿Cuántos años tiene Maria?- How old is Maria? Ella tiene veinte años.- She is 21 years old.

3 To ask someone’s age and birthday/ Responses ¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?- When is your birthday? Es el 6 de mayo. – It’s the 6 th of May. ¿Cuándo es el cumpleaños de Ana?- When is the birthday of Ana? Es el 24 de noviembre.- It’s the 24 th of November.

5 Ser with Adjectives Adjectives are words that describe people or things. You can use the verb ser with adjectives to describe what someone is like. –Cinderella es simpática. –Prince Charming es simpático. –Ariel es pelirroja. –Snow White y Pocahontas son inteligentes.

6 Ser with Adjectives In Spanish, you don’t need the subject pronouns if it’s clear who you are talking about. –¿Cómo es el profesor? Es bajo y gracioso. –¿Cómo son Cinderella y Snow White? Son simpáticas.

7 Ser with Adjectives To say what someone is NOT like… put no in front of the verb. –No soy tonto. Soy inteligente. –¿Juan es simpático? No, Juan no es simpático. Es antipático.
