Clase 20 Parábolas 2 La Siembra
El Reino de Dios es como…
Cove of the Sower aerial Located mid-way between Capernaum and Tabgha, both major centers of Jesus' ministry, this cove may have been used for teaching by Jesus as he passed by. Mark 4 records a time when Jesus was teaching to a large crowd and pushed out in a boat in order to teach them. Some suggest this cove is an ideal location for teaching the crowds. The modern road follows the ancient road; this spot was a strategic place to give a sermon. Vista aérea de la Ensenada del Sembrador
Cove of Sower and Mt of Beatitudes from boat Ensenada del Sembrador y el Monte de las Bienaventuranzas Cove of Sower and Mt of Beatitudes from boat Parable of the Sower Mark 4 records a time when Jesus was teaching a large crowd and pushed out in a boat in order to teach them. Some suggest this cove is an ideal location for such. Varrow, a Roman historian from the 1st century B.C., wrote of two places that produced crops exceptionally well, one of which was Gadara. It produced a hundred fold – Jesus’ illustration was not exaggeration. Jesus used visual aids as he taught. He may have been pointing to a farmer sowing his seed. Even if not, it would have been a familiar picture to everyone. Vistos desde el Mar de Galilea
Cove of the Sower from top Ensenada del Sembrador desde arriba Cove of the Sower from top From this vantage point, a person on the shoreline is a mere speck. Though it seems unlikely, the voice of the speaker carries itself very well and the listeners would have had no problem hearing someone they could just barely see.
