Gramática: Formation of present indicative (–ar verbs) Take the infinitive: bailar Remove the –ar ending: bail- Add the appropriate ending: To talk about what you don’t do, use no before the verb: No trabajo los domingos. Remember: subject pronouns are not always needed in Spanish. Use them to clarify, add emphasis, or contrast.

Gramática: gustar + infinitive The verb gustar can be used with infinitives to talk about what people like to do. Gustar means to like, but a closer translation is to be pleasing. Therefore, it is used with indirect object pronouns (me, te, le…); these indicate who is pleased. Te gusta caminar. You like to walk.(Walking is pleasing to you.)
