Apuntes: Reflexive Verbs 1. A reflexive verb is a verb in which the subject of the verb is also its object, in other words, the action is performed by “oneself”. 2. All reflexive verb infinitives in Spanish end in “-se” 3. When conjugating a reflexive verb, 3 parts are needed: Subject Pronoun+Reflexive Pronoun+Conjugated Verb 4. There are 5 Reflexive Pronouns: Yo (me), Tú (te), él/ella/ud.(se), Nosotros (nos), ellos/ellas/Uds.(se) 5. Some verbs will be both Reflexive AND Stem-Changing!

APUNTES: Regular Present Tense The Present Tense is a verb tense that is used to tell what is happening now. It is very similar to the Present Progressive. In order to conjugate (change) a verb to the present tense: a. drop the last two letters from the infinitive (basic form of the verb) b. add the appropriate ending according to the subject and the type of verb: ar- verb endings -er verb endings -ir verb endings yo- o yo- o yo- o tú- as tú- es tú- es él, ella, Ud.- a él, ella, Ud.- e él, ella, Ud.- e nosotros- amos nosotros- emos nosotros- imos ellos, ellas, Uds.- an ellos, ellas, Uds.- en ellos, ellas, Uds.- en *** MEMORIZE THESE ENDINGS!!!!***
