Possessive adjectives and pronouns in English An adjective describes a noun The big house la casa grande The new friend el amigo nuevo A possessive adjective shows personal relationship or possession (still describes noun) It’s my house es mi casa es la casa mía She is his friend ella es su amiga es un amiga suya A pronoun replaces a noun (can stand in for a noun) The big house is yellow.
