2 Showing Possession In Spanish there are NO apostrophes.
You cannot say, for example, Jorge’s dog, (using an apostrophe)

3 Showing Posession You must say,
“The dog of Jorge,” only in Spanish. Like this: El perro de Jorge.

4 De + noun This concept of showing possession is using “de + noun.”
For example:

5 De + Noun Tengo el cuaderno de Felipe. La hermana de Maria es amable.

Adjectives DESCRIBE nouns, correct? Well, they can also show possession.

Here are the possessive adjectives in English: my, your, his, her, our, and their.

The possessive adjective must be singular if the noun is singular and plural if the noun is plural.

13 Posessive Adjectives Mi prima es alta. Todas mis primas son altas.

I’m going to the game with a friend of mine. ¿Vas al baile con unas amigas tuyas? Are you going to the dance with some friends of yours?

20 These possessive adjectives may be used w/o a noun.
¿Estas chaquetas son suyas? Are these jackets yours?

21 These possessive adjectives may be used w/o a noun.
Sí, son nuestras. Yes, they are ours.

22 To clarify or emphasize possession, you can use de+a noun or pronoun instead of a form of suyo
Aquí está un collar suyo= Un collar de Ud. Un collar de ella Un collar de Uds. Un collar de ellos/ellas. Here is a necklace of yours/his/her/theirs.
