The pattern for -er verbs is much like the pattern for -ar verbs. The only difference is, instead of using “a” you use “e.”

Forms for regular ER verbs: yo o nosotros emos nosotras tú es el ellos ella e ellas en Usted ustedes

Let’s try the verb “to eat,” in Spanish, “comer.”

COMER – to eat Yo como Nosotros comemos Nosotras Tú comes Uds. Él come Ella Nosotros comemos Nosotras Uds. Ellos comen Ellas

LEER – to read Yo leo Tú lees Ud. Él lee Ella Nosotros leemos Nosotras Uds. Ellos leen Ellas
