Standard 1.2: Students understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics. Objective: Students will learn the conjugation forms for –ER and –IR ending verbs and review –ar ending verb concept. EQ: What are the conjugation patterns of -er and –ir ending verbs?

3 Remember –ar ending verbs?
We conjugate verb endings according to the subject of the sentence and the tense or time the verb occurs in. Yo hablo español. (hablar) Tu estudias mucho.(estudiar) Yo escribo una carta.(escribir)

9 How are conjugation rules different from adjective and gender agreement rules?
-er, -ir and –ar ending verbs conjugate (change ending) according to subject, not gender. They do not follow gender rules like adjectives do, they follow conjugation rules which change according to subject or pronoun.
