Articles in General What are articles? The, a, an, some Where are articles located in a sentence? They typically precede a noun. Examples: I have the book. I am reading a good book.

Definite articles Definite articles = THE In Spanish, there are 4 definite articles: EL, LA, LOS, LAS In Spanish, nouns have gender & number. So, a definite article must match its noun in gender & number.

Indefinite Articles INDEFINITE ARTICLES = a, an, some In Spanish the indefinite articles are: UN, UNA, UNOS, UNAS An indefinite article must also match its noun in number and gender.
