Kindergarten News Upcoming Events Reading Writing Math Homework Gallego Primary Fine Arts August Reading Students will be exploring fiction and nonfiction texts for the upcoming weeks through units that include nursery rhymes and the 5 Senses. Continue to practice letter naming, both upper and lower case letters, initial word sounds, such as c in cat. Writing We are focusing on handwriting skills. Please have your child practice holding the pencil correctly and proper letter formation. Math Students are working on counting and writing numbers to 10. Please practice counting objects with your child. For example, your child can count pennies or cereal. Homework A homework packet will be sent home on Mondays. It will be due that Friday. Please make sure you read and count with your child every night and sign the log. August 14 – No School August 19 - Picture Day August 28 – No School September 7- Labor Day-No School Afternoon snack Our tummies are hungry! We are asking that you provide a healthy snack for your child everyday or if possible send in enough snacks for the whole class a few times throughout the year. There was a sheet sent at the start of the year with a list of appropriate healthy snacks. Water Bottles: Please send a water bottle with your child to keep at their desk. It needs to have only WATER in it. Thanks! Behavior Chart Students will color their behavior chart daily. Please check and discuss with your child how their day was. Porfavor de practicar en como detener el lapiz correctamente y la formacion apropiada de cada letra. Matematicas Los estudiantes estan trabajando en contar y escribir los numeros del 0-10. Favor de practicar contando objetos como contar monedas o cereal. Tarea Un paquete de tarea sera enviado a casa cada lunes. El paquete deve estar completamente termnado cada viernes. Favor de asegurarse de leer, contar y firmar la hoja de tarea cada noche con su hijo/a. Estamos pidiendo que usted le mande a su hijo/a un bocadillo saludable todos los dias o si posible de ves en cuando compartir con el salon. Al prinsipio del año mandamos a casa una lista de bocadillos saludables apropiados para compartir. *Botellas de agua. Favor de mandar una botella de agua con su hijo/a diariamente para mantener en su escritorio. Deve tener solo agua, Gracias!
