When the president of the United States of America Franklin Delano Roosevelt declared the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, on December 7, 1941 the United States was put into alert. As the attack on Pearl Harbor started a sense of fear about national security, especially on the West Coast, in February 1942 the president Roosevelt as commander-in-chief ordered the relocation of all people of Japanese ancestry, both citizens and foreigners, inland, outside of the Pacific military zone.
