Vamos a jugar una actividad muy divertido. CHARADES! You and your partners have to choose three verbs and act them out. The class will guess what action you are doing.

How do we conjugate these verbs? Reflexive verbs must be used with a reflexive pronoun in order to indicate that the subject is performing the action of the verb upon itself. Reflexive verbs exist in English, but they are much more common in Spanish. Reflexive verbs usually have to do with parts of the body, clothing, or one's state of mind. You can recognize reflexive verbs by the "se" attached to the infinitive.parts of the bodyclothing

Pronouns used with reflexive verbs Yo - me Tú - te Él Ella - se Ud. Nosotros - nos Vosotros – os Ellos Ellas - se Uds.

Conjugating Reflexive verbs There are three separate tasks when conjugating reflexive verbs. 1.First, take off the reflexive pronoun se. Yo dormirse - dormir 2. Change it to agree with the subject of the verb and place it directly in front of the verb. (after the subject, before the verb) Yo me dormir. 3. Then, as with all verbs, you must conjugate the infinitive according to whether it's an ar, er, or ir verb. You must also remember stem changes. Yo me duermo.

Ejemplos 1. Yo me ducho. I'm taking a shower. (ducharse) 2. Marco se pone una camisa. Marco is putting a shirt on. (ponerse) 3. Tú te cepillas el pelo. You're brushing your hair. (cepillarse) 4. Mi hermano y yo nos despertamos a las siete. We wake up at 7:00. (despertarse)

El fin – el repaso What makes reflexive verbs different? They have a pronoun attached to the infinitive. Where does the pronoun go when you conjugate the infinitive? Directly before the conjugated verb. ¿Qué haces todos los días? (Escribe tres cosas, usando los verbos reflexivos.)
