DISTRICT ADVISORY COUNCIL Purpose of DAC DACs are required to certify that the LEA’s Consolidated Application for specified categorical funds, including, but not limited to school-based coordinated categorical programs, compensatory education programs, and EIA programs, was developed with review and advice from those committees.

DISTRICT ADVISORY COUNCIL Title I Parent Involvement Plan Periodically revise the School-level Parent Involvement Policy Policy should include Who, What, When, and How for: Conducting an annual Title I meeting to inform parents of student rights and parent rights to be involved in Title I Offering a flexible number of meetings How it will involve parents in the Title I in the planning, review, and improvement of its Title I programs Provide parents of Title I students with information regarding Title I programs Provide parents with an explanation of curriculum assessments, and proficiency levels

DISTRICT ADVISORY COUNCIL Home/School Compact Must specifically state how parents, the entire school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and describe how the school and parents will develop a partnership to help children reach proficiency on the California content standards.

DISTRICT ADVISORY COUNCIL Student Pledge: I realize that my education is important to me. It helps me develop tools I need to become a happy and productive person. I also understand my parents want to help me do my very best in school. I know I am the one responsible for my own success, and that I must work hard to achieve it. Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability: I will return completed homework on time and return corrected work to my parent (s). I will arrive at school on time every day and stay at school all day unless I am ill. I will be responsible for my own behavior. I will be a cooperative learner both at home and at school by following school and classroom rules. I will read every day. I will resist using drugs, alcohol and violence and will follow the school’s uniform dress code.

COMITÉ ASESOR DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR Compromiso del Estudiante: Entiendo que mi educación es importante para mí. Me ayuda a desarrollar las herramientas que necesito para convertirme en una persona feliz y productiva. También entiendo que mis padres quieren ayudarme a hacer lo mejor en la escuela. Se que soy el único responsable de mi propio éxito y que debo trabajar duro para lograrlo. Por lo tanto, acepto cumplir las siguientes responsabilidades lo mejor que pueda: Entregaré las tareas terminadas a tiempo y devolveré los trabajos corregidos a mis padres. Llegaré a la escuela a tiempo todos los días y me quedaré en la escuela a menos que esté enfermo. Seré responsable de mi propio comportamiento. Seré un estudiante cooperativo tanto en casa como en la escuela acatando las normas de la escuela y del salón de clase. Leeré todos los días. DISTRICT ADVISORY COUNCIL Parents Pledge: I realize that my child’s school years are very important, and I understand that my participation in my child’s education will help in achievement and attitude. Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability: I will provide a place and time for my child to study. I will attend Back to School Night, Parent Conferences, and Open House. I will read with my child and let my child see me read. I will monitor my child’s T.V. viewing. I will support the School’s homework, discipline, attendance, and uniform dress code policies. I will make sure my child attends school the whole day unless ill.

COMITÉ ASESOR DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR Compromiso del Padre: Entiendo que los años de escuela de mi hijo son muy importantes y entiendo que mi participación en la educación de mi hijo ayudará en el rendimiento y la actitud. Por lo tanto, acepto cumplir las siguientes responsabilidades lo mejor que pueda: Ofreceré a mi hijo un tiempo y un lugar para que estudie. DISTRICT ADVISORY COUNCIL Staff Pledge: We understand the importance of the school experience to every student and our role as models. Therefore, as your child’s teacher I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability: I will explain my expectations and instructional goals to students and parents. I will base my instruction on your child’s strengths, skills, and abilities. I will strive to be aware of the individual needs of your child. I will regularly communicate with you regarding your child’s progress. I will provide a welcoming environment for students and parents. I will ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
