Definite and Indefinite Articles All Spanish nouns, even if they are refer to objects, are either masculine or feminine. Defininte articles are used with nouns to indicate specific people, places or things. Indefinite articles are used with nouns to indicate nonspecific people, places or things. Nouns ending in –a are usually feminine. To form the plural of the noun, add –s if the noun ends in a vowel. Add –es if the noun ends in a consonant.

Noun-Adjective Agreement In Spanish, the adjective usually comes AFTER the noun. The adjective matches the gender and number of the noun it describes.
