2 CAPACITIES – Research Potential EL PROGRAMA POTENCIAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN (REGPOT) OBJETIVOS: OBJETIVOS: Aprovechar y aumentar el potencial de los centros de investigación en las regiones de Convergencia Y Ultra-periféricas, para favorecer su plena integración en las actividades de investigación financiadas por la UE.

3 ¿Quien?, ¿Como? y ¿Porqué? Centros de calidad científica contrastada Proporcionándole recursos, y favoreciendo su trabajo en redes de calidad Para que la región pueda beneficiarse del impacto local de un centro con proyección internacional

4 ¿Que debe contener el proyecto? Apoyo al desarrollo de la iniciativa “Unión por la Innovación” como estrategia de integración en el EEI (ERA) Análisis DAFO (Debilidades, Amenazas, Fortalezas, Oportunidades) Iniciativas concretas para mejorar la capacidad de gestión del capital intelectual del solicitante Demostración de la calidad científica y medidas para mejorarla y mantenerla Plan de Acción, muy ligado a las necesidades socio-económicas de la región.

5 «Unión por la innovación» Temas Recentrar la política de I+D+i en unos pocos Puntos clave o grandes desafíos: Cambio climático, Energía, seguridad alimentaria y uso eficaz de los recursos, Salud y envejecimiento de la población Promover métodos de producción respetuosos del medio ambiente y la gestión del territorio; «Construir la bioeconomía de 2020», «Tecnologías clave para configurar el futuro industrial de Europa» y «Tecnologías que permitan a los mayores vivir independientemente y ser activos en la sociedad».

13 This Green Paper launches a public debate on the key issues to be taken into account for future EU research and innovation funding programmes: http://ec.europa.eu/research/csfri/index_en.cfm http://ec.europa.eu/research/csfri/index_en.cfm These programmes will be part of the Commission's proposals for the next Multi-annual Financial Framework (MFF) to be presented in June 2011. Specific proposals for funding programmes are due to be adopted by the end of 2011. The research, business, government and civil society communities and citizens are called upon to engage in this important debate. GREEN PAPER PURPOSE

15 Regions can directly use Structural Funds in the financing of these groups that have passed the thresholds in FP competitive calls but have not reached the shortlists for lack of funding. Structural Funds would still maintain criteria of capacity building and cohesion, since the potential results of Ideas, People and Research Potential Programmes clearly take root geographically.
