Santiago está inteligente y trabajador. Así se forma 4: Ser and estar (A summary) Estar + adjective  to indicate a STATE of being:  the physical, mental or emotional state Ella está un poco enferma.  Estar, on the other hand, is the only option with adjectives that can only express states Santiago está bien/ mal/ cansado, contento. Santiago es bien/ mal/ cansado, contentoo.
