2 Stem-changing verbs o->u Dormirse changes in the third singular and plural form. Example: Ella se durmió, ellas se durmieron Other verbs: morir

3 Stem changing verbs-> i-y: These verbs change only in the 3 rd person singular and plural form. For example: leer Juan Leyó y Ellos leyeron Other verbs: creer, caerse, oir

4 Irregular verbs in the preterite tense: Ir and ser: fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos, fuisteis, fueron decir:dije, dijiste, dijo, dijimos, dijisteis, dijeron Ver: vi,viste, vio, vimos, visteis, vieron Poner: puse, pusiste, puso, pusimos, pusisteis, pusieron Hacer: hice,hiciste, hizo, hicimos, hicisteis, hicieron Poder:pude, pudiste, pudo, pudimos, pudisteis, pudieron Traer: estar:

5 -gar, -car, -zar ending verbs in the preterite. If the verb ends in -gar the “yo”form chages to -gué. For example “Yo llegué”. If the verb ends in-car the “yo form changes to - qué. For example “Yo pactiqué”. If the verb ends in – zar the “yo” form changes to – cé. For example “Yo almorcé” All the forms are regular.
