3  Como se dice en Español? (apuntes/notes from yesterday)  To ask how someone is-  To say who someone is-  To give your name-  To ask how a friend is-  To ask how an adult is-  To respond-  To ask a young person’s name-  To ask an adult’s name-

4  To introduce someone in Spanish you say Este es… (male) Esta es… (female) Este es Juan. Es un compañero de clase. This is Juan. He is a classmate. Esta es Rosa. Es una compañera de clase. This is Rosa. She is a classmate.

5  When someone introduces someone to you; you would say Encantado (male) Encantada (female) Mucho gusto  Note that the saying “mucho gusto” is for both; male or female. It doesn’t change.  To say you are also pleased to meet that person you say Igualmente

6  In groups of 3 or 4; you will introduce a classmate to another classmate. You will say Este es… (male classmate) Esta es… (female classmate) The classmate will respond: Encantado (male) Encatada (female) Mucho gusto  To say you are also pleased to meet that person Igualmente

7 Hola, como estas? Estoy muy bien, gracias. Y tu? Estoy regular. Este es Juan. Un compañero de clase. Mucho gusto Juan! Igualmente.
