5 Remember: The preterite is used for actions that: occurred during a specific period of time. I lived in Los Angeles in 2007.

7 Remember: Actions that: were part of a chain of events. I left school, walked home, and started my homework.

8 Remember: can be viewed as single events. They ate at 6:00 pm.
