En 1791, Luigi Galvani fue el primero en usar corrientes eléctricas para beneficiar la salud. La “Corriente Galvánica" que se usa hoy en día con fines cosméticos para facilitar el transporte de ingredientes clave en la piel, fue nombrada por este científico italiano.

(Slide 10: Pre-treatment phase) As the negative current comes in contact with the negative ingredients in the pretreatment gel on the skin, negatively charged purifying ingredients are driven into the pores. As the purifying ingredients move into the pores, they adhere to impurities such as excess oil and pollutants. Now, how can you remember to set the Galvanic Program for the time and polarity that you need? Going forward, each Nu Skin product that’s developed for or tested appropriate for use with Galvanic will contain a special compatibility key. The key will indicate that the product is for use with Galvanic II as indicated by the first symbol which polarity the unit should be set for (one fountain indicates negative polarity, two fountains indicate positive polarity) how many minutes the unit should be programmed to and which conductor attachment should be selected. As you can see, the pretreatment facial gel is for use with Galvanic II and should be set on the one-fountain negative setting for two minutes with the facial conductor attachment. Dermis

15 Continuing Benefits At time zero, the galvanic treatment has been concluded. The lower chamber of the Franz unit is sampled at time zero, 6 hours and 24 hours. During this time duration, no current is applied. You can see in this slide that at 6 hours after galvanic treatment, Active “A” is entering the galvanic-treated skin (Galvanic Treatment) more than skin that has not had a galvanic treatment (No Treatment). The control “No Treatment” (blue bar) is skin that has not had galvanic treatment. At 24 hours there is some Active “A” entering the control skin (blue bar). However, skin that has had galvanic treatment allows much more Active “A” to enter the skin (red bar).
