2 ISO – Estructura de gobernación
GA: During its session holds the powers of the Organization, Approves strategy and overall policies, Elects President, Vice- Presidents, Council members Council Functions: Most of the governance functions of the Organization . In accordance with the policy laid down by the member bodies Council composition: 18 member bodies, Elected according to a ranking scheme based on a set of criteria, One representative per Council member Council Reporting bodies: Council standing committees, CSC/FIN and CSC/STRAT (established in 1998), Technical Management Board (TMB), Policy Development Committees (PDCs), IT Strategies Implementation Group (ITSIG), Commercial Policies Steering Group (CPSG) TMB Functions: Defines and oversees application of procedures for technical work, Decides on new TCs and allocation of work to TCs, Resolves conflicts of technical nature TMB Composition: 12 member bodies, Elected according to a ranking scheme based on a set of criteria, One representative per TMB member ISOCS:The Central Secretariat provide services to the structure, acts as secretariat to the GA, Council,TMB and policy development committees. They manage the production of standards in terms of voting, editing, publication etc

15 JCDCMAS El comité conjunto de coordinación de asistencia a países en desarrollo en metrología, acreditación y normalización (JCDCMAS) fue establecido por las principales organizaciones internacionales que tienen mandatos to fortalecer las infraestructura técnicas y el desarollo de capacidades en metrología,normalización y evaluación de la conformidad Los miembros intercambian información y comparten sus experiencias en el suministro de asistencia técnica a países en desarrollo.

17 Infraestructura técnica integrada
Los países en desarrollo requiere: Servicios de metrología para asegurar la trazabilidad, internacionamente reconocida de mediciones y calibración de instrumentos; La habilidad de formular y promover posiciones nacionales en procesos de normalización internacional, el acceso a las normas internacionales una vez publicadas y la asistencia en su implementación por los actores Sistemas de evaluación de la conformidad para evaluación de bienes y servicios en relación a requirimientos obligatorios que resultan en atestaciones de conformidad (estas actividades incluyen ensayos , certificación e inspección); Evaluación por pares y sistemas de acreditación para asegurar que las evaluaciones de conformidad se confiables y reconocidas internacionalmente. To achieve sustainable development and to fully participate in international trade developing countries require metrology services to ensure internationally recognized traceability of measurements and calibration of measuring instruments; the ability to formulate and promote national positions into the international standards development process, to access international standards once published and to assist in their implementation by economic players; conformity assessment systems to undertake assessments of goods and services against mandatory and voluntary requirements that result in claims of conformity (assessment activities may include testing, certification, inspection); peer assessment and accreditation systems to ensure that claims of conformity are credible and internationally recognised.

20 Enfoque de desarrollo de capacidades
Un evaluación profunda de todas las partes de la economía; La comprensión que no hay un modelo “llave en mano” en materia de infraestructura técnica; Consideración cautelosa de la evaluación de las necesidades, basado en el tipo y el apropiado secuenciamiento de la asistencia para asegurar que la asistencia se desarrollada de manera planificada y sostenible; Una clara articulación de los recursos y el financiamiento que serán necesarios para sostener la infraestructura técnica requerida; El desarrollo de la infraestructura técnica nacional no debería excluir la consideración de la provisión de servicios a nivel bilateral o regional que puedan alcanzar mejore economías de escala.
