3 What is a direct object? Nouns that receive the action of a verb in a sentence. Ex: Sandra throws the ball. Pedro reads the books. Salvador talks to me and Gloria.

4 What is a DIRECT OBJECT PRONOUN?
They replace the direct object nouns with pronouns. Ex: 1. Sandra throws the ball. 2. Pedro reads the books. 3. Salvador talks to me and Gloria. 1. Sandra throws it. 2. Pedro reads them. 3. Salvador talks to us.

5 DOPs me (me) te (you fam.) lo (him/it/you form.) la (her/it/you form.)
nos (us) os (y’all “Spain”) los (them: masc/mixed or y’all “American”) las (them: fem. or y’all “American”: fem.)

22 Remember!! Any time there is a conjugated verb and an infinitive, you may rewrite the sentence with the DOP 2 ways. If there is only a conjugated verb, the DOP must go in front of the conjugated verb.
