Transcripción de la presentación:

-AR Verbos hablar enseñar dibujar terminar necesitar cantar bailar estudiar escuchar practicar

Sabemos la forma infinitiva de los verbos… Los verbos SIEMPRE end in –ar, -er or –ir Por ejemplo: Hablar Correr Escribir

¿Qué significa los infinitivos? to talk OR talking hablar = cocinar = to cook OR cooking enseñar = to teach OR teaching

To use an –ar verb in a different form (not in the infinitive) you need to find the stem. To find the stem, simply drop the ‘ar’ ending! Por ejemplo: the stem in hablar When you drop the ending (ar) you are left with the stem habl___. A different ending is added for different people.

Primero, vamos a practicar… ________________ Escribe the stems for the following verbos: bailar = escuchar = cantar = enseñar = terminar = estudiar = necesitar = bail escuch cant enseñ termin estudi necesit

Once you have dropped the –ar, you add the different verb endings: singular verb endings plural verb endings

Now it’s time to conjugate! To conjugate is to combine el pronombre with el verbo to form a new word Add the endings from the chart to the stem of the verb and you have your new word! Por ejemplo…

Pronombre: Yo Verbo: Hablar Primero: find the stem of hablar Segundo: find the ‘yo’ ending on the chart Tercero: add the ‘yo’ ending to the stem habl o habl + o = hablo I speak. OR Yo hablo. = I am speaking.

La conjugación del verbo ‘hablar’: vosotros vosotras habláis

Let’s try a few more… En las pizarritas blancas, por favor, escribe la forma correcta del verbo. Pronombre: Verbo Infinitivo: La forma correcta: Tú estudiar estudias Nosotros hablar hablamos bailar Ella baila enseñar enseña Usted
