Direct Object Pronouns: Who or what receives the action of the verb me te you lo him, it, you (Ud.) la her, it, you (Ud.) nos us os you (vosotros,as) los them, you (Uds.) las them, you (Uds.)
When combining pronouns remember the initials: RID Reflexive Indirect Direct
When indirect object pronouns combine with direct object pronouns: me lo, me la me los, me las te lo, te la te los, te las *se lo, se la se los, se las *le changes to se nos lo, nos la nos los, nos las os lo, os la os los, os las *se lo, se la se los, se las *les changes to se
Ejemplos: RID 1.Brush (them) your teeth. (tú command) lávatelos. (reflexive, direct) 2.Don’t brush them in the kitchen. (tú command) No te los laves en la cocina. (reflexive, direct) 3.Write it (the letter) to them (your grandparents). Escríbesela. (tú command) (indirect, direct) 4.Don’t write it to them (same object pronouns, tú command) No se la escribas.
Replace any direct or indirect objects with d.o.p’s and i.o.p’s.
