GUSTAR The verb ‘gustar’ is used in Spanish to convey the meaning “to like”. It’s literal meaning is “to be pleasing to”.

GUSTAR Examples: Me gusta la comida. = I like the food. The food is pleasing to me. Le gustan las películas. = He likes the movies. The movies are pleasing to him.

GUSTAR The singular form of gustar is used when what is liked is singular. (gusta) Me gusta el libro. = I like the book. The plural form of gustar is used when what is liked is plural. (gustan) Me gustan los libros. = I like the books.

GUSTAR Put one of the pronouns before gustar to say who likes something: me gusta(n) = I like nos gusta(n) = we like te gusta(n) = you like os gusta(n) = you all like (Sp) le gusta(n) = he/she likes les gusta(n) = they like you like (formal)you all like
