Important rule!!!!! ****If you want to incorporate them both, you must place the IOP before the DOP before the conjugated verb!!!!!**** Ej. El mesero trae la cuenta para nosotros. » verbo DOIO (Using both IOP and DOP) ID El mesero nos la trae.

¡Cuidado! Remember that when a conjugated verb appears with an infinitive or an -ndo form, you have two choices: 1st choice: You can put the pronouns before the conjugated verb, or; 2nd choice: You can attach to the infinitive or -ndo. Either way, the sentences mean the same thing.

Ejemplo: Tú vas a comprar las flores para mí. »(verbo) (DO) (IO) (Before conjugated verb) Tú me las vas a comprar. (Attached to infinitive) Tú vas a comprármelas. **Note that with 2 pronouns, there is an accent that goes over the original vowel from the infinitive.**

Ejemplo: –Tú estás comprando las flores para mí. verbo DOIO (Before conjugated verb) Tú me las estás comprando. (Attached to -ndo form) Tú estás comprándomelas. Note once again that if you attach both pronouns to a gerund (-ndo form), you must add an accent mark to the “á” in the “ándo” or to the “é” in “iéndo.” (Just like when adding only one pronoun).
