In Español, all verbs in their infinitive form en in either –ar, -er, or –ir An infinitive means that we have not yet changed (conjugated) the verb to fit the sentence
In Inglés, we conjugate the verb “to be” all the time without thinking about it! I amWe are You areY´all are He/She/It is They are
In Español, we do the same thing! Yo soyNosotros/ Nosotras somos Tú eresVosotros/ Vosotras sois Él/Ella/Usted es Ellos/Ellas/ Ustedes son
In English, we use the word “it” along with “he” and “she”, but in Español, “él” and “ella” also mean “it” depending on the gender of what we are talking about. Señor, I have a question… WHAT THE HECK???
In Español, unlike English, we do not have to state the subject all the time, because the verb is conjugated to tell us what the subject is. Ejemplo: I am a boy Soy un muchacho. The word “soy” tells us that we mean “Yo”.
