2 Sra. Schwarz Regular vs. Irregular The AR verbs you have learned so far are regular. When conjugated, regular verbs follow a pattern. Irregular verbs do not follow a pattern and must be memorized.

3 Sra. Schwarz The Verb ESTAR Estar is an irregular verb. It means “to be” in English. Estar does NOT follow the pattern of the regular AR verbs you learned.

4 Sra. Schwarz The Verb ESTAR The conjugation of estar is irregular because: – The yo form is irregular, and – The forms estás, está, and están require accent marks.
