HOW TO GIVE ADVICE IN SPANISH CN To tell somebody what he/she should do, you use Deberías or Debes: Deberías/ Debes + verb in infinitive For example: - Deberías hablar con la maestra de ciencias - Debes estudiar más para sacar buenas notas.

Deberías Vs. Debes Deberías is a softer way of expressing “You should” than Debes. To tell somebody what he/she has to do, you use Tienes que: Tienes que + verb in infinitive For example: Tienes que leer mucho en la clase de literatura para pasar la clase.
