Conjugation - Basics Conjugation is when you change the ending of an infinitive to reflect who is doing the action. Infinitives are the basic verb. In Spanish, they end in –ar, -er, or –ir. In English, they are translated as “to …”. For example, hablar means to speak. The verb chart is the basic configuration of endings in a chart.
