3rd Grade Pioneer Lion News (continued) Announcements Anuncios Estimados padres de familia, Esta semana continuamos nuestra unidad sobre el antiguo imperio romano en estudios sociales. Estamos aprendiendo todo acerca de la cultura, la religión, el gobierno y la vida cotidiana romana En lectura, estamos aprendiendo sobre los prefijos y sufijos. Aprender sobre los prefijos y sufijos ayudará a nuestros estudiantes a aumentar su vocabulario y les ayudan a descifrar muchas palabras desconocidas. En matemáticas, estamos explorando el significado de la multiplicación. Los estudiantes están trabajando con problemas verbales de multiplicación para aprender que multiplicar es lo mismo que contar salteado o sumar números repetidamente. En la escritura, los estudiantes continuarán trabajando en sus párrafos informativos sobre cómo mantenerse saludable que empezamos en nuestra ultima unidad del cuerpo humano. Ellos están comenzando sus borradores y se espera que completen sus proyectos definitivos para el viernes. Atentamente, El equipo de Tercer Grado Dear Parents, This week we are continuing our unit on the Ancient Roman Empire in Social Studies. We are learning all about their culture, religion, government, and everyday life. In reading, we are learning about prefixes and suffixes. Learning about prefixes and suffixes will help our students increase their vocabulary and help them decipher many unknown words. In math, we are exploring the meaning of multiplication. Students are working with multiplication word problems to that multiplication is the same as skip counting or repeated addition. In writing, students will continue to work on their informative paragraphs about staying healthy from our past unit on the Human Body.
