In Spanish, there are multiple ways to speak about things that happen in the past. Today, we will learn about one tense called the preterit tense. This is used to talk about actions that are completed and have a definite start and end point.

Preterit triggers… You will often use the preterit when you see: ayer (yesterday) anteayer (the day before yesterday) anoche (last night) el otro día (the other day) la semana pasada (last week) el mes pasado (last month) el año pasado (last year)
