¿Qué significa infinitivo? An infinitive is an unconjugated verb. In English infinitives begin with the word “to”, in Spanish, they end with –ar, -er, or –ir Comprar= to buy Preferir= to prefer 2. ¿Qué es la diferencia entre un infinitivo y un verbo conjugado? An infinitve does not have a subject. 3. Hay tres tiempos (tenses) para comunicación: el pasado, el presente, y el futuro.

4 Ahora, vamos a hablar del pasado
In Spanish there are two tenses for talking in the past. El préterito El imperfecto The preterite tense is used to talk about actions that happened one time in the past. The imperfect tense is used to give descriptions and talk about habitual actions that occured in the past. We will only be focusing on the preterite for now, and more specifically the preterite tense of –ar verbs.
