Los pronombres DOP = me, te, lo/la, nos, os, los/las IOP = me, te, le, nos, os, les Still ask yourself the important questions: Who or what? = DO To whom/for whom? = IO

Las reglas Still put in 1 of 3 places: Before conjugated verb Attached to infinitive Attached to –ando/-iendo The IOP goes first, followed by the DOP (hint: think ID).

Ejemplo Ella compró un regalo para mi. (She bought a gift for me.) DO = un regalo IO = para mi DOP = lo IOP = me New sentence: Ella me lo compró. (She bought it for me.)

One problem… You can’t “le lo” in Spanish! If the IOP and DOP both begin with the letter “l,” you must change the IOP to the word “se.”

Ejemplo Yo di un regalito a mi hermana. DO = un regalito IO = a mi hermana DOP = lo IOP = le Yo se lo di.

Vamos a practicar… Compramos una camisa para ti. Ella va a dar un beso a su novio. Yo voy a escribir una carta a mi abuela. Mis hermanos recomiendan el pollo a nosotros. El teatro vende boletos para los jovenes.
