Espanol Megan Sands La comida

¿Cuales son algunas comidas estadounidenses? ¿Que te gusta comer? ¿Cuales son algunas comidas estadounidenses? ¿Cuales son algunas comidas espanolas? ¿Cuales son algunas comidas mexicanas?

Some traditional Mexican foods are Chilaquiles Enchiladas Taquitos Chile relleno What are foods from other Spanish speaking countries? Why do these countries have different traditional foods?

In many Spanish-speaking countries, “La comida” is the big meal of the day, and is eaten around 3 PM. People come home from work or from school to eat with their families and to take a break. Then, many go back to work to finish their day. The foods that we think of as “Mexican” or “Spanish” are usually eaten at this meal. Dinner, as we think about it, is a small meal—maybe cereal and fruit, an egg, or some other quick food. Breakfast, too, is not a big meal—eggs, or cereal, or toast with coffee or juice.

In many Mexican towns, there is a plaza or a zocolo, and there (and throughout the city), you can find food vendors. They sell foods like: Elote Churros Cacahuetes Hielo Tacos Dulces Frutas Verduras For tourists, it is not always a good idea to buy foods from street vendors or to buy fruits and vegetables from markets without washing them. The water in Mexico can make people who are unaccustomed to it get sick. How is the water connected to the food sold by the vendors?

Your family has some friends in town from Mexico, but they’re feeling really homesick. To make them feel better, you invite them over for La Comida with traditional Mexican foods. Create a menu to send to them so that they can begin to get excited for the meal! 2 drinks 1 soup (and what’s in it!) 1 side dish 1 salad (and what’s in it!) 1 dessert 2 main dishes (and some of their ingredients)
