 ahora Words that go well with the present progressive:  ahora mismo  ahorrita now right now this very instant (mostly said in Latin America)

estar (conjugated) + verb (in the –ing form) A formar el presente progresivo: -ando How to form the –ing: ar:-er/-ir -iendo

 mirar Write the gerund (-ing):  hablar  escribir mirando hablando meeting (someone)  conocer conociendo a watching talking talking writing escribiendo

Family la familia is a singular noun. Mi familia está comiendo ahora. My family is (singular) eating right now.

Ejemplo: Estoy leyendo una novela para la literatura. Leer has a spelling change when you change it to the gerund (-ing): leyendo  leer I’m reading a novel for Literature class.
