¿Por qué usamos el presente progresivo? We use the present progressive to emphasize what is going on right now. For instance, I am studying Spanish., can mean that you are studying Spanish during the school year or in general when using the present tense. However, when using the Present Progressive, you are stating that you are in the process of studying Spanish right now

Ejemplos: Yo estudio español.Present tense Yo estoy estudiando español. Present Progressive

¿Cómo forma? You ALWAYS use a form of estar then a gerund. estoyestamos estás estáestán When forming a gerund you drop the ending from the verb and add: -ar-er & -ir -ando-iendo
