IR is an irregular verb. yovoynosotros vamos túvas ustedustedes élvaellosvan ellaellas

IR = to go We use IR to talk about where someone is going. IR is often followed by a. If the place that the person is going is masculine, the preposition a combines with el to form the contraction al. a + el = al Nosotros vamos a la biblioteca. Nosotros vamos al café.

We also use IR to talk about what someone is going to do with the construct IR + a + infinitive. Remember: When we have two verbs together in Spanish, only conjugate the first verb! Voy a correr después de la escuela. Mi hermano va a hablar por teléfono. Nosotros vamos a estudiar mucho.

Yo ________ al mercado. Nosotros ________ a la biblioteca. Martín ________ al restaurante. Ana e Isabel ________ a comer en el café. Usted ________ a cantar en el coro. Tú ________ a ir a la iglesia.
