Más/menos + adjective + que + más inteligente que - menos inteligente que tan + adjective + como = tan inteligente como ADJECTIVE AGREES WITH 1 st SUBJECT

Follow the same patterns Alicia se viste más elegantemente que su hermana. Alicia se viste menos elegantemente que su hermana. Alicia se viste tan elegantemente como su hermana.

Bueno good mejor better (ADJ) Este restaurante es mejor que ése. Bien well mejor better (ADV) Cocinamos mejor que Ud. Malo bad peor worse (ADJ) Una F es peor que una D. Mal badly peor worse (ADV) Carlos juega al tenis peor que tú.

Can also be formed with nouns, but tan becomes tanto and agrees with the noun it introduces.

The noun (which could be an article) and the adjectives must agree in GENDER & NUMBER Use de to remove the person from the group La chica más alta de la clase es Raquel.

Bueno good el mejor the best Ellos son los mejores atletas del equipo. Malo bad el peor the worst Son los peores estudiantes de la clase.

Más/menos + adverb Carmen es la que se viste más elegantemente. Carmen is the one who dresses the most elegantly. De mis amigos, Paco es el que me escribe menos frecuentemente. Of my friends, Paco is the one who writes me least frequently.

Nouns can be used also: Más/menos + noun Carlos es el que tiene más dinero. Carlos is the one who has the most money. También es el que tiene menos amigos. Hes also the one who has the least friends.

This t-shirt is bigger than that one. Her boots are less comfortable (cómodo) than mine. He is the oldest in the class.

Esta camiseta es más grande que ésa. Sus botas son menos cómodas que las mías. El es el mayor de la clase.
