Stem-changing verbs are verbs in which there is a change in the stem of the verb. The stem is the part of the verb without the –ar, -er, or –ir ending. Ej. Hablar – The stem is Habl

What happened? cerr > cierr entend > entiend The vowel in the stem changed for every person EXCEPT in the nosotros and vosotros forms!
