Los pronombres directos (D.O.)  A direct object in a sentence answers the question “who?” or “what” received the action. Putting it all together  The object pronouns are placed in front of the conjugated verb. Ellos dan la invitacion.  Ellos la dan. Hablo a ti.  Te hablo.  When an IOP an DOP are in the same sentence, the IOP comes before the DOP. Ella da el regalo a nosotros.  Ella nos lo da.

The LL Rule  When you have double object pronouns, you cannot have 2 “L” words together. You can’t use le/les with lo, la, los, or las.  The le/les must be changed to se. Ella dio el regalo a él.  Le lo dio. (double L)  Se lo dio. Voy a dar los juguetes a mis hermanos.  Les los voy a dar. (double L)  Se los voy a dar./Voy a dárselos.
