Objetos directos y pronombres Used to avoid repetition. Ask yourself the question “Who/what?” Must agree in gender and number. Ejemplo: I ate a pizza. What did I eat? Pizza = D.O.

Pronombres (DOP) Me Te Lo/la Nos Os Los/las

Los pronombres Ask “who/what?” to find out the DO. Underline the DO. Replace the DO with DOP. DOP can go in 3 places: In front of conjugated verb. Attached to an infinitive. Attached to a participle (-ando,-iendo).

Ejemplos Nosotros compramos un regalo. (We bought a gift.) Who or what? = un regalo (DO) DOP = lo (singular/masculine) New sentence: Nosotros lo compramos. (We bought it.)

Nosotros vamos a comprar un regalo. (We are going to buy a gift.) Who or what? = un regalo (DO) DOP = lo (singular/masculine) New sentence: Nosotros lo vamos a comprar. OR Nosotros vamos a comprarlo. (We are going to buy it.)

Vamos a practicar… Ella comió una ensalada. Yo compro unos regalos para mis amigos. Mi madre cocina comida buena.
