The direct object PRONOUN is placed directly before the conjugated verb. Héctor lo tiene. Héctor has it. When the verb ends in an infinitive, the direct object pronouns can be placed before the conjugated verb or attached to the infinitive. Héctor tiene que comprarlo. Héctor has to buy it.

Indirect Object Pronouns Indirect objects receives the direct object and answer the questions to whom? or for whom? about the verb. I give the ball to José. Indirect object = José Indirect object pronouns take the place of the indirect object nouns. I give the ball to José.  I give the ball to him.

IDOP Importante: an IDOP must be used if there is an indirect object. The Indirect object pronoun will either accompany the noun OR replace it. Accompany: Mama les da el itinerario a José y Ana. Replace: Mama les da el itinerario.

IDOP The pronoun appears before the conjugated verb. Mama les da el itinerario a José y Ana. When the verb ends in an infinitive, the IDOP can go before the conjugated verb or attached to the end of the infinitive. Le voy a vender mi boleto a Sara. OR Voy a venderle mi boleto.
