Ways to say the (definite articles) -el-la-los-las Ways to say a or an (indefinite articles) -un-una-unos-unas Remember that you have to match them in gender and number (plurality) with the noun they describe. (Like el libro or los libros

Adjectives also have to match the noun they describe in gender and number. If an adjective ends in –o it is likely masculine. If it ends in –a it is likely feminine. Not all adjectives are gendered. Some, like difícil end in a consonant and they do not have gender, but they still change plurality. To pluralize an adjective that ends in a vowel, just add an –s. To pluralize one that ends in a consonant, add an –es.
